tweens (9-12 yo) - NEW

Children grow up faster than we realise, which is why capturing their innocence, playfulness, and evolving personality is so important. These moments become lasting memories that both parents and children will cherish for years to come.

The “tween” years (ages 9–12) mark a unique stage—where independence and self-identity begin to develop, yet traces of childhood still remain (whether they admit it or not). It’s the final chapter before, suddenly, they’re all grown up.

With constant exposure to platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, young people are increasingly style-conscious and eager to explore their identity. As part of the ‘selfie generation,’ they recognise the value of a great photograph and how it represents them.

It’s often assumed that boys are reluctant in front of the camera; however, most people—aside from seasoned performers or extreme extroverts—feel some level of nerves at a professional photoshoot. This is entirely natural.

Children, particularly boys, can be indecisive, so bringing a variety of outfits is always a wise choice. From casual to formal, sporty to fun, having options ensures we capture a range of looks—even if it means bringing half the wardrobe.

My approach to photography is relaxed and spontaneous, allowing children the freedom to be themselves. I capture both candid, opportunistic moments and carefully styled shots, creating a diverse collection of images that range from timeless classics to bold, contemporary portraits.

Ultimately, every photoshoot is designed to be enjoyable and authentic. A beautiful portrait should capture far more than just a smile—it should reflect personality, character, and a moment in time that can never be recreated.
